Rescues: Baby Lovebird Quartet
These four baby lovebirds were abandoned by their owner* who suggested to euthanize them if no one wanted them. (I say "owner" because "family" wouldn't do such an awful thing.) The more depressing part is that this is not uncommon. There's many people who lack compassion and have a severe disregard for life. Fortunately, my vet's office is staffed by good people, so they called me to pick them up.
They're a little scruffy, but tested negative for PBFD. They're being treated for bacterial/sinus issues and will be adoptable when they're doing better.
Once their they’re happy and healthy I’m going to find them a good home.
I actually had a baby lovie too very similar thing happened
he was abandoned and left all alone (he was only 5 weeks old when he was found)
i rescued him from the sanctuary that found him
he was the cutest thing Ever we named him Pickle
(he was a black masked lovie and looked like a pickle)
unfortunately he had sour crop which he hid from us for a while
we rushed to the vet and
we were able to get the food out of his crop but the infection
had spread too far and he passed :(
then right after that we got a call from the sanctuary saying he had a brother
so i went and rescued him and its been great since
hes a little scared of hands because of the previous owner
his name is Cucumber :D

What beautiful babies! I’m so glad that they found their way to you so they could heal. Let me know if there are any updates!
